  Mr. Yoon's Welcome

I believe that the reasons why our human race faces its current difficulties can be traced to the consequences of ignoring our inner true-self, our internal conscience or the Four Virtures of love, justice, harmony and wisdom, and living recklessly.  Thus, starting with ourselves, we begin a moral movement, clarifying the conscience and recovering the true-self at this immediate place and moment.  I believe that planet Earth has hope as here there are many who can freely talk about such things from direct personal experience.

The practice that I would like to explore with you is simply the moral or spiritual product of a civilization, just as the smart phone is a material product of a civilization.   As a product used in the development of civilization, it is also a “product” in the moral development of the civilization.  When we live using this product, the Earth will unfold a new civilization.  Since that is just one possible form of civilization and culture, unless you at this moment are using it while also having fun, the civilization will not unfold according to the designs of this product.

Discard the notion that “I will create that through the ascetic practice.”

Unless you cultivate with others, it will not happen.

This training is set to improve as I reflect on me and others.

The universe is designed such that when we practice together

it yields the human being.

I hope that the practice that we present going forward,

the recovery of Conscience, in not just training but culture.

The way to build a new culture is that we respond to the voice of conscience

little by little responsibly while being mindful.

I hope that you regard it as practice.

I lay out this message hoping that this culture spreads throughout the world

and that this occasion marks a declaration to the world that this burgeoning

new spiritual culture is well on its way.

Thank you!

                                                                                                                    Sincerely,

                                                                                                                    Yoon Hong-Sik
