  About Yoon Hong-Sik

A philosopher and conscience advocate, Mr. Yoon Hong-Sik has been promoting his ideas around the world by drawing on eastern and western classical literature and philosophical traditions.  He majored in history during his undergraduate study at Yonsei University and received a Master’s degree in philosophy at the same school.  He is the head of Hongik Academy and Hongik Spiritual Center, which he founded after the graduation.
He has provided a series of public lectures under the titles of ‘conscience concert’, ‘classics concert’, ‘self-awakening concert’ among others.  More than 3,000 video clips of his lectures are now freely accessible on YouTube and has well exceeded over 15 million views in 2016.  
 
Mr. Yoon has been invited by many companies and organizations to provide their in-house staff training on ethics as well as leadership development training based on the classics.  These companies and organizations include private companies, such as Samsung and LG,  as well as government or public organizations, such as the Ministry of Justice, Small & Medium Business Corporation and Korea Post. He has also spoken at various programs in broadcasting companies, such as KBS, EBS, BBS and WBS.
He is the author of more than a dozen books on subjects ranging from Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism and Korean traditional philosophy (‘Dahn Hak’) to conscience-nurturing and unleashing creativity through mindfulness.  His teachings are also available in DVDs, which include ‘Lecture on Great Learning’, ‘Lecture on The Doctrine of the Mean’, ‘Lecture on Lao Tzu’, ‘Lecture on the Book of Changes’, ‘Lecture on Dahn Hak’, ‘Lecture on the Gospel of Thomas’, and many others.  (His books and DVDs are currently available only in the Korean language.)
